The growth of padel is kick-starting a host of new businesses.
Padel Recruits is an international recruitment agency working exclusively in the padel sector. General manager Fernando Blanca explained that it works with:
Candidates who want to develop an international career
Padel companies wanting to find talent for their projects
partner companies (ie that provide training programmes, materials, software, professional associations, padel federations etc)
UK-based communications expert Ben Nichols has launched Padel 22, a comms agency dedicated to padel.
Ben, formerly head of media relations for the World Anti-Doping Agency, said: “I’m excited to be launching Padel 22 at a time of huge growth for padel worldwide. The sport is turning heads and there are a growing number of non-traditional padel nations and regions in which it is booming. Padel has an abundance of stories to tell.”
Lee McLaughlan, a PR specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in the sports industry – from grassroots to elite levels – has added padel to his portfolio at CIPR-accredited Auvent PR. He said: “Not only is padel growing fast but the companies supporting it are booming but don’t necessarily have the in-house expertise to support their marketing and PR activities. That’s where we can step in.”
