Man Utd’s Diogo Dalot: why I love padel

Sports stars and padel go together like strawberries and cream; the England rugby squad have been playing during their downtime in the World Cup, FC Barcelona is reported to have banned its players from indulging in a game due to injury fears, F1 drivers are known to enjoy the sport, Liverpool FC has its own court and Game4Padel has just announced Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Leicester footballer Jamie Vardy as new investors in its business, joining Andy Murray et al.

So it’s perhaps little surprise that Man Utd are getting in on the game – full-back Diogo Dalot to be precise, who has been perfecting his lobs and bandejas at The Padel Club in Wilmslow.

He talked to MUTV about his love for padel, his own 14-court centre in Portugal and if he’s any good! Watch via the link below.
