Empower and The Padel School coaching collab

Empower Padel x The Padel School

Empower Padel – which champions women playing padel – has announced a brilliant new collaboration with The Padel School, making it its official education partner in a move that will deliver more high quality female-first coaching and events.

The two organisations have been working together for several years, offering coaching clinics, intro to padel sessions, Empower ambassador training and group holidays. Now Empower – founded by Pep Stonor – has formalised its relationship with The Padel School, founded by brothers Sandy and Tom Farquharson.

“This isn’t a new connection – it’s the next chapter,” said Pep. “Sandy and his team have been part of Empower Padel’s journey since day one. With The Padel School on board as our education partner we will be able to deliver even more coaching, learning and mentorship to women at every stage of their padel journey – from beginners to those competing regularly. I’m so excited for what’s next.”

Pep Stonor (above) identified that 60% of women have been introduced to padel by friends – so she’s been working with The Padel School/Sandy Farquharson (above) to empower women to feel more confident welcoming their friends on to court. The Bandeja caught up with them after one of these sessions at The Padel Hub in Slough.

Sandy Farquharson, who is also coach to the GB men’s padel squad, added: “We’ve seen how good coaching can build confidence and help women develop their skills with this sport. Pep’s vision and community-first approach is key to helping women to be the best players they can be.”

UK-based The Padel School is a leading padel coaching platform, helping players and coaches across the world learn, improve and love the game. It runs a mix of in-person clinics and accessible digital training, focussing on building skills and confidence for every level of player.

Community & confidence

Pep established Empower a year ago to champion confidence, community and supporting the next generation of female players. The Padel School collaboration drives forward her belief that padel can be a powerful tool for women to take up or return to sport and gain confidence, connection and a sense of belonging in a community of women padel players.

Through this new partnership, Empower Padel and The Padel School will:

  • Deliver Empower Padel clinics across the UK
  • Train and mentor Empower’s ambassador team
  • Create accessible coaching content for players at all levels.
